The overall objective of the event is to highlight what a Designation of Origin is and what it contributes to rural areas in terms of social sustainability (they help to keep the population in rural areas), economic sustainability (they help generate job opportunities in rural areas and attract tourism and investment), environmental sustainability (landscape development and increasing awareness in the fight against climate change), and cultural sustainability.

Specific objectives:

  • Disseminate good practices related to human rights in the socio-economic, environmental, and cultural spheres.
  • To raise awareness of its potential in rural areas among institutions, the media, consumer and user associations, technicians and representatives of regional public administrations, GALs, and stakeholders involved in rural areas in general.
