The PAC Network compiles examples of good practices in rural Spain to serve as inspiration for others. These examples also serve as a way to share experiences and learn from the successes, obstacles, and mistakes of similar projects.
In the following viewer, you can find these examples, and you can refine your search using a series of information filters: name of the good practice, territorial scope, topic, keyword, type of funding, and type of promoter.
We also encourage you to collaborate with the PAC Network by submitting a best practice you know about in your rural area, and the PAC Network team will consider including it in the viewer.
Operational Groups (GGOO) are groups of rural stakeholders with diverse profiles who come together to carry out an innovative project. These projects aim to find a solution to a shared problem or implement an innovative idea related to a sector of the rural environment.
Both the GGOO and innovative projects are funded through the CAP Strategic Plan (PEPAC) and are a tool used by the European Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI), part of the European CAP Network, to connect different stakeholders in rural areas with agricultural productivity and sustainability.
The following viewer lists Operational Groups and innovative projects that can be consulted by searching by autonomous community, province, municipality, or Local Action Group.
Local Action Groups (LAGs) are non-profit, regional associations comprising public (town councils, councils, associations of associations, etc.) and private (youth groups, women's associations, business associations, unions, etc.) entities representing the region's socioeconomic fabric.
The main function of the Groups is to implement European rural development strategies through the design, implementation, and management of their Participatory Local Development Strategies (PLDS) , which are the result of consensus reached among the various social, economic, and institutional groups that comprise them. To develop these PLDS, the Groups have created a series of participatory structures where communication and debate processes take place.
The following viewer displays the GALs by autonomous community, province, and municipality.
The Regional Agricultural Offices (OCA) are decentralized administrative bodies where users can find support in carrying out the necessary procedures to ensure effective management of their farms. Their general functions are as follows:
