Being able to innovate means being able to improve. Therefore, making innovation accessible to all sectors and inhabitants of agricultural and rural areas is a primary objective of the new CAP. To help achieve this, the CAP Network is developing a series of activities that seek to pool all the knowledge generated, with digitalization as a key pillar.

With this approach, the CAP Network participates in the development of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS), such as the new AKIS Advisors Platform, so that they truly serve as a tool for bringing knowledge from research centers to farms. Furthermore, among other activities, it participates in and disseminates the activities of the European CAP Network and other innovation networks; organizes training courses and exchange events; and supports cooperation between operational groups of the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-Agri). Likewise, through this website and its social media channels, it disseminates training initiatives and innovative projects in the agricultural and rural sectors.

Operational and Focus Groups

Operational Groups are a group of stakeholders with diverse backgrounds, all linked to rural areas, who come together to develop and execute innovative projects aimed at finding practical solutions to shared problems or to test and implement innovative ideas related to a rural sector (agriculture, livestock, forestry, etc.).

Focus Groups are multidisciplinary groups of rural stakeholders who meet temporarily to discuss a predetermined topic of interest to the rural environment. Their objective is to identify problems and opportunities related to the topic and analyze innovative actions that can be taken in this regard.
