- The second edition of this call sponsored by the "Daniel and Nina Carasso" Foundation selects eight sustainable agri-food projects.
- The objective of "From the field to the pantry" is to support projects that address climate change and social justice within the framework of a solidarity economy.
The “Daniel and Nina Carasso” Foundation The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agriculture has already selected eight agri-food projects that it will oversee and financially support over the next three years, enabling them to transition toward a sustainable food model. The idea is to promote agri-food projects with a more ecological and inclusive focus. The budget for the second "From Field to Pantry" call for proposals is 549,000 euros.
The jury, which included some rural stakeholders such as Local Action Groups , wanted to give priority to rural actors such as "shared bakeries, community kitchens, or collective logistics and distribution initiatives for food products derived from livestock, agriculture, fishing, beekeeping, or other forms of obtaining primary products in Spain." In all of these, they sought a future-oriented approach that addresses the effects of climate change and the crisis of social justice.
Of the 59 projects received from all over Spain, 8 were ultimately selected to receive supervised monitoring and support at all levels over the next three years.
