15 de December de 2021
On November 30th, the Government approved the 43rd Combined Agricultural Insurance Plan, following a proposal from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPA). This plan covers all insurance lines whose contract period begins in 2022, as well as the various subsidies applicable to each.
- The Government approves the "Combined Agricultural Insurance Plan" for 2022
- The budget for subsidizing insurance premiums has increased to €256.73 million, an increase of €3 million.
- This increase is intended to support the creation of jointly owned farms.
The agricultural insurance plan for 2022 includes as a novelty a new additional subsidy of 5% for farm policies of shared ownership registered with RETICOM . Thus, the agricultural insurance policy is aligned with the objectives of equality and visibility of rural women 's work in the agricultural sector pursued by the MAPA .
This aid is in addition to the direct subsidies to jointly owned agricultural holdings, approved in September 2021 and regulated by Royal Decree 819/2021, of September 28, which establishes the regulatory bases for the direct granting of subsidies to jointly owned agricultural holdings and the call for applications for the 2021 financial year , the final resolution of which was published on December 13, 2021. The objective of this subsidy is to complement the reductions in Social Security contributions currently available to the partner of the farm owner who enters agricultural activity. The aim is to encourage new registrations of jointly owned agricultural holdings, as well as the affiliation and permanence (for five years) in the Social Security system of the spouses or partners of the owners of such holdings, throughout Spain.
43rd Combined Agrarian Insurance Plan
The budget allocated by the MAPA to subsidize premiums for all agricultural insurance policies covered by this plan amounts to €256.73 million, which represents an increase of €3 million compared to the previous year for 2022.
This increase allows for the incorporation of new support measures for insured farms, some of them targeted at very specific groups and others of a general nature. In addition to the aforementioned aid for jointly owned farms, the new insurance plan includes:
- An additional 3% subsidy for new contracts , aimed at policyholders who purchase insurance policies for lines they did not purchase under the previous year's plan.
- A 10-point increase in the base subsidy for the insurance line that sheep and goat farms can take out, due to their strategic importance.
