Within the framework of the National Rural Network's activities, the workshop "Synergies between the LIFE program and the EAFRD Rural Development Programs" was held, at the proposal of the Network of Environmental Authorities.

The event aimed to highlight the results of LIFE projects that offer significant environmental solutions in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and the protection of natural environments, as well as to showcase the mechanisms of complementarity and synergy between the EAFRD and the LIFE Programme.

The specific objectives were:

• To disseminate successful LIFE projects in the fields of agriculture and forestry among members of the National Rural Network as a channel for the exchange of experiences among a public directly interested in and affected by environmental issues in rural areas.
• To present the experience of EAFRD management authorities that have incorporated the results of LIFE projects into the programming and design of EAFRD-funded measures.
• Disseminate EAFRD funding opportunities and experiences for the long-term maintenance of LIFE projects developed in rural areas.
• To present the participation of EAFRD in the Integrated LIFE Project "NADAPTA" as an example of the complementarity of actions and funding between the LIFE program and EAFRD.
• Disseminate the synergies and differences between LIFE projects and EIP-Agri operational group projects of the EAFRD on a specific topic.
