DURATION : 50 hours (7 in person, 10 videoconference, 33 online).
NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 30


GOALS :
Ï Complete the training of trainers and technicians in their work supporting farmers and ranchers to meet the organic production requirements demanded by Community and Spanish regulations.
Ï Provide methodological training to participants to increase their effectiveness as advisors for organic farms.
Ï Training of graduates for their incorporation as specialized technicians in advice for organic production.


Addressed to :
Trainers and technicians from various administrations, Rural Development Networks and Groups, Professional Agricultural Organizations, Cooperatives and Associations in rural areas, workers in the field of advising agricultural farms and rural business owners and/or entrepreneurs, and Local Development Agents.

o Environment of organic production in Spain
o Principles of organic production
o Soil management and cultivation techniques
o Ecological management of pests, diseases and weeds.
o Conversion to Organic Farming
or Organic Farming in the CAP 2014-2020
o AE control systems. Certification.
o Organic food production and health
o Marketing of organic production. Short marketing channels.
o Resources on the Web and Facebook
or Crops
or Livestock
o Case Study: Project to convert a traditional agricultural or livestock farm to an organic farm
o The practical case is formulated at the beginning of the course, and is developed throughout the course.
It is recommended that the case study relate to a real farm. The farm data must be available prior to attending the course.
o If a real farm is not available, data from a fictitious farm may be used for its development in the course.
