The photography exhibition 'A Living Rural World' has opened and will be open to the public throughout June.

The National Rural Network (RRN) has awarded the three first prizes in the first photography competition "A Living Rural World." The photography exhibition can be seen during the month of June at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (Palacio de Fomento, Atocha roundabout).

The Director General of Rural Development, Innovation and Forestry Policy of MAPA , Isabel Bombal, presented the awards for the three first prizes. First prize went to the black and white work "María" by Gracia Cid Blasco, from La Nava (Huelva); second prize went to Pablo García de Miguel for "La rosa del azafrán" (The Saffron Rose) ; and third prize went to Antonio Alcázar Ojeda for the photo entitled "Al principio y al final del camino" (At the Beginning and End of the Road).

Of the more than 200 photographs received in the competition,15 were selected to be displayed in the exhibition, which will remain open throughout June at the East Skylight of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food. This exhibition is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Director General emphasized that photography has significant potential to bring rural areas closer to the public , conveying all the benefits they offer and appealing to people's emotions. For this reason, the National Rural Network is committed to photography as a communication tool and source of inspiration.

The National Rural Network works along various lines to raise awareness about the importance of rural areas and their benefits. Communication is one of these efforts, demonstrated through various media such as its social media channels, newsletter, quarterly magazine, and website . In addition, the National Rural Network conducts studies, organizes conferences, facilitates working groups, collaborates with other networks at the European level, and identifies good practices or inspiring initiatives.
