03/01/2021. On February 26, the National Rural Network (RRN) presented the publication "Compilation of good practice projects of the National Rural Development Program 2014-2020", a document that includes 22 projects and actions considered good practices within the framework of the different measures and submeasures that make up the National Rural Development Program, and which can serve as an example to promote new actions with other stakeholders in the rural environment.
For the consideration of “ good practice” , the National Rural Network has taken into account the following indicators:
- That the projects have achieved proven results .
- They must be transferable to other sectors or territories, that is, they must be applicable outside their scope of action.
- That they have a series of recommendations that can be reproduced in other types of actions.
Presentation day
Nine of the projects or initiatives included in this publication participated in the virtual presentation session, with the aim of using their experience as a source of inspiration for other projects wishing to develop within the framework of the PNDR. During the discussions and roundtables, they explained what motivated them to carry out their initiatives, the obstacles they encountered, and the lessons learned and experiences they gained along the way.
Oviaragón, DCOOP, and Mancera were the associative entities that participated in the first panel discussion, dedicated to increasing the scale and integration of cooperative and other associative entities. Through their experience, we learned firsthand how the PNDR is strengthening support for these types of entities through:
- Vocational training and skills acquisition activities.
- Investments in the processing and marketing of agricultural products-
- Through the promotion of agri-food associations .
In the second panel discussion, three sub-measures implemented by the Public Administration, as a beneficiary of the PNDR, were presented. These actions are aimed at the conservation and efficient use of natural resources, specifically forestry, the fight against climate change, and the promotion of rural heritage. The panel discussed the importance of continuing these actions in the future to ensure sustainable land management.
In the third panel discussion, dedicated to innovation , the Carbocert and Gophytovid Operational Groups spoke to explain the importance of innovation in promoting the sector's competitiveness.
Ultimately, the meeting served to learn about these inspiring projects that bring the work done in rural areas closer to society as a whole, and it served as a learning space, fostering dialogue among the various beneficiaries.
