May 22, 2020. A new edition of the Rural Entrepreneurship Course, organized by the National Rural Network, began on Monday, May 18th. This time, the course is offered online, to adapt to the current situation in the country. This workshop, included in the National Rural Network's Action Plan, aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacities of rural residents in their communities. Students have the opportunity to interact with relevant professionals who will help them structure ideas, delve deeper into the development of a Business Plan, and work on their personal brand.
- Entrepreneurship in rural areas fosters a sustainable economy and prevents depopulation.
The implementation of entrepreneurial projects contributes greatly to the revitalization of the region, constituting a true engine of change, a source of wealth, and job creation in rural areas. With this goal in mind, the 40 participants of the Rural Entrepreneurship Course have begun their first module.
The workshop is divided into four modules (four weeks), combining theory and practice. Students have the opportunity to work on their own entrepreneurial project, listening directly to pioneering entrepreneurs in their sector. The goal is to build a shared perspective to reflect on the future of their project and their region.
Teamwork and participatory dynamics are the guiding principle of all workshop activities, aiming to achieve optimal and shared learning outcomes. Sara Cillero, from the public company VALNALÓN , teaches several modules using a participatory group work strategy, relying on practical cases in which students can feel part of a community, generating hypotheses and real-life scenarios for decision-making, and equipping them with tools for management, time control, and business risks.
The communication module, key to marketing and selling products, will be taught by Rocío del Cerro . One of the most important lessons learned in this module is the need to nurture one's personal brand, which is closely linked to one's product or service. To achieve this, practical exercises are conducted, such as an elevator pitch or the development of a personal SWOT analysis, which helps identify the entrepreneurs' strengths and weaknesses.
Thanks to the successful launch of this online course, a new edition is expected to be held in the coming weeks to meet the high demand it has generated.

The five highest-rated work proposals from this workshop will receive additional support in disseminating their projects from the National Rural Network.
