The objective is to understand the current reality of people entering the agricultural sector in Spain.
In January 2016, the Mundubat Foundation and the Agrarian Youth of COAG began an in-depth study on the incorporation of young people into the countryside.
The results of this research are geared toward defining proposals and recommendations for public policies tailored to the reality of the profession. The main conclusions of the study will be presented in July 2016, with the aim of implementing new actions to improve generational renewal in all sectors and territories.
The research includes a quantitative component, based on data from the 1999-2009 agricultural census and aid from the 2000-2006 and 2007-2014 Rural Development Programs; as well as a more qualitative component, collecting data from in-depth interviews, work groups, and a questionnaire addressed to young people who have joined the sector since 2000.
The attached questionnaire ( http://goo.gl/forms/nGNASUg4TP ) is being distributed online to reach a large number of farmers and ranchers, with the aim of identifying different profiles of young people. Completing the questionnaire takes about 15 minutes.
