The call has a budget of €125 million for cooperative research projects led by companies that meet the objectives of "Misiones 2022."
The Ministry of Science and Innovation launches the "Misiones 2022" call for large-scale cooperative research projects.
- The call is endowed with 125 million euros
- The deadline for submitting proposals is September 5, 2022.
- It is aimed at both large companies and SMEs
The Ministry of Science and Innovation - through the CDTI , a Public Business Entity (EPE) attached to said Ministry - has opened the 2022 call for the " Misiones Science and Innovation Program ", whose deadline for submitting proposals began on June 22 and ends on September 5, 2022 .
The call has a budget of €125 million for cooperative research projects led by companies that meet the objectives of the call:
- Promote relevant research that proposes solutions to cross-cutting and strategic challenges facing Spanish society and economy.
- Improve the knowledge and technology base on which Spanish companies rely to compete.
- Stimulate public-private cooperation .
The Science and Innovation Missions program is part of the National Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, which will receive funding from Next Generation EU funds, including the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
Participation in aid
The grants have two categories of participation:
- Large Business Missions
For groups of between 3 and 8 companies, at least two of which are independent, led by a large company, and with at least one SME among the partners.
- Project duration: start in 2022 and end on December 31, 2024 or June 30, 2025.
- Amount: Between €4 and €15 million in aid per group, with a minimum eligible budget per company of €175,000.
- Industrial research: minimum 60% of the eligible budget.
- Outsourcing of knowledge-generating centers: minimum 20% of the eligible budget.
B. SME Missions
For groups of 3 to 6 SME companies, at least two of which are independent and led by a medium-sized company.
- Project duration: start in 2022 and end on December 31, 2023 or December 31, 2024.
- Amount: Between €1.5 million and €3 million in aid, with a minimum eligible budget per company of €175,000.
- Industrial research: minimum 35% of the eligible budget.
- Outsourcing of knowledge-generating centers: minimum 15% of the eligible budget.
- Of the total budget of 125 million euros, at least 20 million euros will be allocated to SME projects.
