- The purpose is to contribute to the payment of Social Security contributions to which the owners of shared ownership agricultural holdings are obliged.
- It is essential to be registered in the Register of Shared Ownership Agricultural Holdings (RETICOM) one month prior to the date of publication of the extract of the call for tenders in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

On May 10, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food published an extract of the call for applications for subsidies for jointly-owned farms for the 2022 financial year, amounting to €1,500,000, in the Official State Gazette (BOE) .
These are directly granted aids, not subject to competitive competition by applicants, and with a maximum annual amount of 1,500 euros per beneficiary farm .
As established in the regulatory bases of these subsidies, the purpose is to contribute to the payment of Social Security contributions to which the owners of shared-ownership agricultural holdings are obliged .
Requirements
Jointly owned agricultural holdings that are registered in the Register of Jointly Owned Agricultural Holdings (RETICOM) one month prior to the publication date of the extract of the call for applications in the Official State Gazette (BOE) are eligible for these grants.
RETICOM is attached to the Ministry's Directorate-General for Rural Development, Innovation, and Agri-Food Training and is informed by the Autonomous Communities, in compliance with the provisions of Article 7 of Law 35/2011.
The documentation required in the call may be submitted within 15 business days from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOE, through the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food .
The deadline for submitting the required documentation begins on May 11. and ends on May 31, 2022, both inclusive .
What is Shared Ownership?
In order to alleviate the situation of inequality and invisibility of rural women's work in the agricultural sector, Law 35/2011 on shared ownership of agricultural holdings came into force on January 5, 2012. with the objectives of:
EITHER Professionalize women's agricultural activity.
EITHER Improve female participation in agricultural organizations.
EITHER Make women's work on farms visible.
EITHER Promote equality and improve the quality of life in rural areas.
EITHER Help the settlement of the rural population.
First and foremost, joint ownership entails operating responsibility between the two members, and therefore a 50/50 distribution of profits, as well as Social Security contributions, by both members.
