Dinamización rural

July 21, 2020. The second edition of the online Rural Entrepreneurship Course, organized by the National Rural Network and lasting one month, concluded on July 7th. This workshop, included in the National Rural Network's (RRN) Action Plan, aims to strengthen the capabilities of those who dare to start a sustainable business or activity in rural areas. Students had the opportunity to interact with relevant professionals in this academic and professional field, which helped them structure ideas, delve deeper into the development of their Business Plans, and work on their personal brand.

The launch of entrepreneurial projects in any sector contributes positively to the revitalization of a region , serving as a driving force for change and a source of wealth and employment for rural areas. This is what the 48 participants of the Rural Entrepreneurship Course experienced throughout the four modules of the workshop.

Four weeks of online support combined theory and practice, giving students the opportunity to work on their own entrepreneurial projects , listening directly to pioneering entrepreneurs in their sector, and building a shared perspective to reflect on the future of their projects and their territories.

In the final days of the workshop, all the student entrepreneurs' projects were presented and discussed. Following an evaluation process conducted by the course professionals and instructors, the following projects were considered excellent :

EDA Project – Ligia López

The goal of her project is to create a tool that provides rural businesses and/or entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to make themselves known, becoming a Creative Rural Instrument. Her project proposes, among other things, creating visibility opportunities on social media, creating a coherent brand image among her clients, and creating products customized for each business and situation. Ligia is an entrepreneur from Seville who intends to develop her project in Ayerbe (Huesca) and expand it to other municipalities in Aragon, offering her more than 15 years of experience in the marketing sector.

Viticulture and winemaking in La Vilueña - Jorge Temprado

Jorge is a winemaker with extensive national and international experience who aims to revive the winemaking traditions of Vilueña (Calatayud), the town where his mother was born and where he would like to live. He plans to start by cultivating five hectares of vineyards while he moves forward with the construction of his winery, with the dream of producing a quality wine that will allow him to continue the long family tradition of his ancestors. The foundation of his project will be a viticulture designed to obtain the best grapes, technical knowledge of the Calatayud designation of origin, and a commitment to the customization of his wines to create a differentiated product.

Lanzarote Boulevard - Gabriel Da Fonseca

Lanzarote Boulevard seeks to offer a part of the island's essence through a traditional product. The brand's focus is on craftsmanship, creating designer jewelry with an authentic and unique character, utilizing traditional Lanzarote resources in an innovative way, such as the palm leaf. Its designs are defined as innovative, sustainable, and meaningful. Its future location? Punta Mujeres, a beautiful fishing village in the north of the island. Its medium-term goal? To be able to attend an international craft fair in Europe representing Lanzarote.

COMA Itineraries: Way of the True Cross - Marisa Iturbide

The project's objective is to rescue and revitalize the Camino de la Vera Cruz (True Cross Way) as it passes through Navarre. This represents the recovery of the natural, historical, cultural, and socioeconomic heritage of a large area of Navarre with little tourist activity. It represents a unique opportunity for the development of the territories it traverses and passes through. Its short-term objectives are to promote the establishment of the Navarre Association of Municipalities of the Camino de la Vera Cruz ( True Cross Way), signpost the entire route, and initiate communication campaigns. The long-term objective will be to support the municipalities in their communication and business strategies and promote tourism-related activities.

Rural and natural tourism in the Font Roja and Sierra de Mariola natural parks - Hindu Mohamed

Our entrepreneur's goal is to enhance both the cultural and natural heritage of these privileged enclaves in Alicante. Her project aims to create a joint brand where the municipalities that encompass these natural spaces can promote themselves and foster sustainable, environmentally friendly tourism. The first challenge will be to create a mobile app that provides information on the region's combined tourism offerings (heritage, accommodation, and leisure activities), giving visitors the opportunity to plan their trip from their hometown.

More information about these projects will be published in the coming weeks through the RRN's social media channels and monthly newsletter .
