The platform is free, and after registering as a farmer or agricultural technician, you simply need to indicate the topic you are most interested in.
- “Agroduda” was created with the purpose of bringing together both farmers and agricultural technicians on a single platform to resolve internal doubts.
- A farmer from Castile and León founded this platform to find a means of communication for issues related to pests, bureaucratic procedures, etc.
A kind of "agricultural WhatsApp" or, even more so, an "agricultural Twitch." This is what " Agroduda " aspires to become , a digital communication platform created by farmer Antonio Torres and computer scientist José Senande (Villarmentero de Esgueva, Valladolid). It was created to fill the gap in the need for a dedicated channel where the agricultural and rural sectors can meet to discuss internal issues and resolutions, as well as to resolve doubts about daily tasks.
Hence, the participation of not only farmers and ranchers , but also agricultural technicians and cooperatives who can resolve common questions about the crop is essential in "Agroduda": pests, administrative procedures, bureaucratic changes, harvest times, etc.
The platform is free, and after registering as a farmer or agricultural technician at www.agroduda.es , you simply need to indicate the topic you are most interested in.
Virtual fairs and talks
Antonio Torres, a farmer and founder of the platform along with José Senande, who manages the IT department, claims to have conceived the tool after observing that farmers and cooperatives were creating WhatsApp groups to communicate with their members or report new pests. This highlights the lack of a dedicated communication channel for the agricultural sector.
Speaking to the PAC Network , Antonio explains that "Agroduda's reception has been very satisfactory, as in just 10 days we've gained 500 subscribers. Of course, we aim for quality, rather than quantity: we want a sufficient number of users, but not so many that no action is taken or the site is used. The idea is to resolve problems and queries, not create noise."
The platform is already offering interactive talks with experts on various topics, in which high-level speakers with expertise in their fields answer users' questions live. This is the case with the presentation already given by David Nafría, head of the Technological Development Department at ITACyL and Associate Professor at the Pontifical University of Comillas ( INEA ) .
Not only that, the platform has also launched as a virtual trade show , where subscribers have their first look at the machinery on display and can also answer questions about it live with technicians. This is the case with the presentation of a precision seed drill from the company "Maschio Gaspardo" on March 26th.
From here, talks and exhibitions will continue, while the platform continues to function as a forum for consultations at any time, making Agroduda the only virtual forum that brings together the agricultural sector to address their concerns, questions, and curiosities.
