Streamlined Cost Options (SCO) represent a departure from the traditional system. Instead of reimbursing actual costs incurred by the beneficiary, the amount of which must be demonstrated through the presentation of invoices, the use of SCO means that the amount received by the beneficiary has been pre-calculated using a predefined method based on outputs, results, and other costs, regardless of the amount of actual expenses incurred.

Among the advantages of using OCS is the reduction in administrative burden, which is particularly relevant in the case of LEADER. Its use could address one of the main problems that LEADER has faced in recent years: the increase in bureaucracy and administrative burden, which has, in turn, weakened the characteristic tasks of this approach related to the revitalization and dynamization of the rural area and population.

Objectives of the conference:

► Strengthen the theoretical knowledge of regional administration technical teams, Local Action Groups, and their relevant networks.
► Present specific experiences in the design and implementation of OCS linked to LEADER, or implemented in other RDP funds and measures, which will allow for learning and strengthen the position of attendees in the future design of OCS in their field of action.
► Generate exchange and debate among attendees to identify potential problems or limitations in its practical application and to collectively advance possible proposals or solutions.
