DURATION: 50 hours (7 in person, 10 videoconference, 33 online)

Goals:

To update the knowledge of trainers and technicians to support farmers and ranchers in meeting the requirements established in Community and Spanish regulations for the application of conditionality for direct CAP aid.

Training to meet the requirements of the CAP EAFRD regulations on input utilization, energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, waste management, and ICT use.

Provide methodological training to participants to increase their effectiveness as farm advisors.

Addressed to:

Trainers and technicians from various administrations, as well as from professional agricultural organizations, cooperatives and rural associations, rural development groups, and university graduates who work in advising agricultural holdings on the conditionality of direct CAP aid.

COURSE PROGRAM:

1. Farm advisory services and the CAP 2014-2020.- The National Rural Network in the dissemination of rural development policy and programmes in 2014-2020.- Forestry holdings in the period 2014-2020.- CAP 2014-2020. Good agricultural and environmental practices in agricultural policy and rural development policy.

2. CAP reform in the context of direct aid: implementation and management. - Establishment of a Farm Advisory Board. Consulting methodology. Computerization and monitoring. Case studies . - National action plan for the sustainable use of plant protection products. - Food safety.

3. Control of conditionality.- Women's shared ownership of agricultural holdings.- Advisors and rural development.- Social networks.- Resolution of practical cases in agricultural holdings

4. Innovation in rural areas and the new CAP.

6. Water quality.- Animal identification and registration.- Animal health alert network.- Fertilizers and their use in Spain.- Natura 2000 Network.

A web-based platform will be available to support the course, offering the following features: videoconferencing, documentation, and work forums.

Working groups may be formed by course attendees to develop practical cases.
