Red.es—a public business entity attached to the Ministry of Energy, Tourism, and the Digital Agenda—has launched two new programs, worth €5 million each, to boost the digital transformation of SMEs. Both are co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Smart Growth Operational Program (Official State Gazette, November 20).
- "Digital Transformation Offices," aimed at professional associations and colleges, was created with the aim of strengthening the ICT support ecosystem for SMEs and providing support to entrepreneurs in the digital sphere. The offices will offer outreach services, awareness-raising and promotion activities for digital transformation processes, and support services such as answering and resolving queries regarding solutions and methodologies for improving management through the use of ICT. The minimum grant amount is €100,000 per beneficiary entity and the maximum is €200,000.
- "Digital Advisors" will allow SMEs to receive personalized advice throughout their digital transformation process. This service will involve specialized agents implementing a Digitalization Plan to incorporate ICT into their processes (business management, third-party relations, e-commerce, digitalization of services and solutions). To implement this program, a grant of up to €5,000 per SME will be available.
The National Rural Network, as a multisectoral platform that integrates all stakeholders involved in rural development in our country, aims to disseminate rural development policy and strengthen alliances among its members. The National Rural Network also seeks to disseminate any action that could boost the digitalization of rural areas through European funds. Therefore, it is organizing an information session next Tuesday, December 19th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Auditorium of its San Juan de la Cruz headquarters, s/nº 1.
The presentation will last approximately one hour, followed by a question-and-answer session to address any concerns.
Due to limited capacity, prior registration is required via the National Rural Network email, redrural@mapama.es , before Friday, December 15.
