The Horizon Europe Soil Mission's European Soil Week, entitled "LEADING THE TRANSITION TO HEALTHY SOILS," will take place in Madrid, Spain, from 21 to 23 November 2023. It is an annual event aimed at promoting Horizon Europe's soil mission, "A Soil Pact for Europe," by raising awareness of the importance of soil health and driving action to protect and restore our soils. It will bring together Soil Mission stakeholders and projects, highlight the importance of soil protection, restoration, and monitoring, and discuss the actions and solutions needed to move towards more sustainable land management.
Objective : Will raise awareness of the importance of soil protection, restoration and monitoring, and will discuss solutions toward more sustainable land management.
Organised by : The project will be organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) in the context of the Soil Mission, together with the EU-funded project PREPSOIL and the Joint Research Centre - EU Soil Observatory (EUSO).
Date : November 21-23, 2023
Modality : The event is free and will be held in a blended online and in-person format. The conference will be hosted in person by the INIA-CSIC at the headquarters of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, under the Spanish Presidency of the EU Council.
