Within the framework of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism , and in collaboration with the LEADER initiative , ACD Montaña Palentina has created a virtual community, called WOSPHERE , based on an application that aims to be a tool for environmental education, support for the conservation of natural spaces, promotion of sustainable tourism and support for ecotourism experiences.

WOSPHERE is a virtual community where self-guided ecotourism experiences are shared with users free of charge. These experiences are based on a series of informational and awareness-raising content, as well as an attractive tourist offering (landscape, biodiversity, contact with the environment, etc.).

WOSPHERE aims to share quality experiences, highlighting the local area and involving environmental authorities in the development of events and other workshops. The exchange of experiences among Local Action Groups across the country will allow for the sharing of best practices and mutual enrichment with environmental, social, and educational content.

The main objective of this experience exchange is to present the tool to the various Local Action Groups, develop content and materials related to various experiences, and launch a cooperative project among those interested in participating.

NOTE:

The target audience for this exchange of experiences is Local Action Groups that have Protected Natural Areas in their territory and/or those that have included in their Local Development Strategy the line of work on sustainable tourism, ecotourism, and/or environmental education .
