Ecozine is an established festival celebrating its twelfth edition in Zaragoza this year. It is a member of the Green Film Network, which brings together more than 40 of the world's leading environmental film festivals.

At the Molino del Batán in Aranda de Moncayo , Ecozine and the Sentir Rural association are joining forces to offer the first edition of Ecozine Rural, featuring various awareness-raising and dissemination activities on the current environmental, ecological, and social situation in the towns and around the world in general.

This will include screenings of documentaries, fiction films, and animated films on environmental issues from different countries (France, Austria, Brazil, Italy, and Spain), with a roundtable for sharing experiences from various groups and associations that carry out rural transition and environmental education projects. (Mycorrhiza Association, La Cosecha, Carrícola a town in the Valencian Community that has been in agricultural and energy transition for more than 10 years, Network in transition, Marta Chordá, rural and cultural activist and Marta Corella, mayor of Orea a town where women have come together to create their own business. All of them will show us that with small gestures and above all the union of everyone, great changes can be made for the common good. There will also be a film workshop for the youngest, taught by Ana Grau, a filmmaker of recognized experience and part of the MICE (International Educational Film Festival), who will show these young people how to create our own film after important reflection. The work done during this workshop will be screened the next day at Ecozine Rural, as well as at the next edition of MICE.

On Saturday at noon, there will be a shared, collaborative meal, where the public, guests, and organizers will all bring something to eat together.

On Sunday, May 12th, Ecozine Rural will open with a screening of the workshop's work, followed by screenings, a roundtable discussion, and an open debate until noon, at which point we'll serve wine to gather around and exchange views on what we experienced at Ecozine Rural.
