The National Rural Network, in collaboration with the Support Unit of the General Directorate of Rural Development and Forestry Policy (MAPAMA), is organizing this event, which will take place:

Target audience: Rural municipalities, rural entrepreneurs, cooperatives and agri-food industries, agricultural organizations, technology companies, agri-food technology centers, knowledge centers, GAL/GDR, REDR/REDER, rural women's organizations, Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, public administrations, civil society.
Objectives of the conference:
- Addressing the digitalization needs of rural areas and the characteristics of smart rural territories through a participatory process.
- To discuss the lines of action linked to the digitalization of rural areas at the regional level to contribute to the development of the digitalization agenda for the agri-food and forestry sectors and rural areas, with the participation of the main regional stakeholders (municipalities, local action groups, rural development networks, cooperatives, other civil society stakeholders, and public administrations (both national and regional).
- Identify lines of action or ideas for developing potential pilot projects for the implementation of smart towns that serve as an example and model for other municipalities and areas with similar structural and socioeconomic conditions.
