The European Horizon Europe project modernAKIS organizes the networking event "AKIS in action: Fostering knowledge flow and innovation: Aligning research with practice needs”.

The event showcases modernAKIS's efforts to connect stakeholders in agricultural knowledge and innovation systems across Europe, serving as a platform for sharing valuable information and fostering collaboration within the agricultural community.

The conference will explore how research can achieve real-world impact through co-creation and multi-stakeholder approaches that connect science with practice. It will also address the challenges researchers face in initiating co-creation and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

This session is the first of a two-part event, highlighting key concepts and strategies from multiple stakeholders, including Thematic Networks and EIP-AGRI Task Forces, within agricultural knowledge and innovation systems. These approaches demonstrate how collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the practical application of innovative solutions can enhance the impact of research in agriculture.
