This collection of 25 best practices features entrepreneurial experiences from newcomers—people who decided to leave the urban environment and settle in rural areas. These examples include businesses, cooperatives, and associations with diverse themes, present in various rural areas throughout Spain. Their protagonists recount in first-person accounts the advantages and obstacles of starting a business in rural areas, as well as their motivations for taking this step.
This manual aims to become a useful and manageable tool for all stakeholders interested in LEADER cooperation. To this end, it specifically aims to: clearly and visually explain the steps each party must follow when implementing inter-territorial LEADER cooperation projects; provide an overview of the specific characteristics of LEADER cooperation in the different Autonomous Communities; and finally, publicize the work carried out by the LEADER Cooperation Working Group and its results, so that they reach the widest possible audience.
