MAPAMA has organized a series of training sessions on the Shared Ownership Law, aimed at agricultural sector technicians and designed to share theoretical and practical knowledge of this law.

In 2011, the Law on Shared Ownership of Agricultural Holdings was approved with the aim of promoting full equality between men and women in the agricultural and rural sectors. Among the objectives of this legislative text are: to professionalize women's agricultural activity, improve female participation in agricultural organizations, raise awareness of women's work on agricultural holdings, promote equality, and improve the quality of life in rural areas.

For farm owners, registering ownership as jointly owned by a man and a woman means a 50/50 distribution of the income, both owners are considered direct beneficiaries of any aid and subsidies the farm receives, and, above all, both partners are eligible for Social Security contributions.

To implement this measure, it is essential to publicize it and explain its implementation process. To this end, a "Training Session on Law 35/2011 on Shared Ownership of Agricultural Holdings" has been organized, which will take place on November 30 in Quintanar de la Orden (Toledo) and on December 11 in Mérida (Badajoz) .

These training sessions are expected to continue in 2018. Currently, a session is scheduled for February in Castile and León, and the plan is to continue organizing these sessions in other autonomous communities.

These training sessions are part of MAPAMA's " Training Plan for Sustainable Rural Development " for 2017. Information on the sessions held next year will be published in the 2018 Training Plan and will be available on the Ministry's and the National Rural Network's websites.
