Cambio climático y gestión de recursos naturales
Registration is now open for the course "Sustainable Forest Management in Castilla-La Mancha."
The Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha is organizing this course, co-financed with EAFRD funds through its 2014-2020 Rural Development Program, with the following objectives:
- Dissemination of the rules for drafting and preparing "Sustainable Forest Management Instruments" for Forest Management, developed by the Regional Government.
- Dissemination of the work and results of the "Regional Forest Inventory (IRCLM)" as well as the web-based software application associated with said inventory for conducting smaller-scale forest inventories.
- Dissemination of the work and results of the "Forest Fuel Model Map" and its integration into the Regional Government's simulator.
The course content will focus on:
- Origin of the Fuel Model Mapping and Regional Forest Inventory project
- New simplified instructions on forest management
- LIDAR Fundamentals and General Cartography Structure for Regional Forest Inventory and Fuel Models
- Cartographic work and development of fuel models
- Development of statistical models of dosimetric variables for the IRCLM and their results. Application to forest-scale inventories
- Practices in the use of the application, with examples provided by the speakers or on forests managed by the participants
- Exchange of experiences and search for solutions
