On May 16, 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and the Environment published in the Official State Gazette the Order establishing the regulatory framework for aid for multiregional training programs for farmers, ranchers, farm managers, and rural women.

The grants will be co-financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the European Social Fund, under the Operational Programme "Employment, Training and Education", through Axis 1 "Promoting sustainable and quality employment and labour mobility", which focuses on continuing education, professional retraining and access to employment for rural women.

The recipients of the aid will be general agricultural professional organizations, organizations representing the agricultural, livestock, and forestry sectors, rural women's associations, and other entities directly related to the rural environment.

Beneficiary entities must be non-profit, or if they carry out commercial activities, they must invest all of the resulting profits in fulfilling their institutional, non-commercial purposes. Furthermore, the beneficiaries of these grants must have a national scope and implementation, and must not receive other grants from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and the Environment for these same training programs.

The call for applications for these grants will be published shortly. Applications may be submitted within fifteen calendar days of the publication of the corresponding call for applications in the Official State Gazette.
