The application of the current public sector contract law to Local Action Groups (LAGs) raises a number of questions for their managers when it comes to resolving their procedures. Therefore, the National Rural Network (RRN) is organizing this training session for Local Action Group staff.

Target audience: This event is intended for technical and management staff of Local Action Groups. Therefore, regarding attendees, only two people will be admitted per LAG, each with different roles: the chair and the manager.

The Conference has the following objectives:

  • Understand the implications of the new Public Sector Contracts Law and any subsequent regulatory changes that may apply to the management of funds managed by LEADER.
  • Define the administrative responsibilities of Local Action Groups as contracting entities, subject to the procedures established by public procurement regulations.
  • Resolve the questions that both LEADER managers and GAL members face in their daily work regarding public procurement.

Any questions that arise during the session, as well as those included in the registration form, will be answered.

Speaker: Carlos Cardosa Zurita, (National Local Government Civil Servants Corps): Secretary-Auditor of the Porzuna City Council (Ciudad Real). Administrative Manager of the Local Action Group "Entreparques" (Montes Norte-Cabañeros Association of Ciudad Real). He is co-author of the "Guide to Contracting for Local Action Groups (GAL)", published by the RRN in December 2021.

The training is online and free.
