- The initial deadline ended today and is extended for 7 more days to facilitate the processing of applications.
- This program offers 192 placements for young people on agricultural and livestock farms, beginning in November and continuing until March 31, 2022.
The catalog of training placements is published on the MAPA website, where interested young people can find full information about them. The CULTIVA Program is aimed at young people entering agricultural activity for the first time as farm managers on or after January 1, 2016, and who were under 41 years of age at the time of their initial placement.
The model host farms where the training placements will take place are spread across 15 autonomous communities —the Autonomous Community of Navarre and the Canary Islands being the exception—and stand out for being benchmarks in terms of innovation, production resources, business models, and social, environmental, and climatic characteristics.
Applications
Young people can apply to participate in up to 10 different training placements at model host farms that have similar agricultural production and are generally located in a different autonomous community from the one in which the young people carry out their own activity.
When assigning places, priority will be given to the most recently established young people, female farmers and ranchers, and those who did not participate in last year's program.
Start
The training placements will begin in November of this year and will run until March 31, 2022. Applications can be submitted through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food's Online Office , which will remain open until October 27.
The youth's accommodation, food, and transportation expenses resulting from their participation in the training placements are covered by the CULTIVA Program. In addition, youth may be eligible for compensation for the costs of having their farm replaced by a third party during their absence due to their participation in the training placement.
All information about the 2021 CULTIVA Program can be found in the Rural Youth section of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food website.
