February 15, 2021. The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD) is organizing free online workshops focused on the implementation of the European Timber Regulation (EUTR) by timber companies and wood derivatives professionals.

  • The workshops are aimed at the practical application of the European Timber Regulation (EUTR)
  • The European Timber Regulation (EUTR) was adopted in 2010 to prevent the entry of illegal timber into the European Union.

The European Timber Regulation (EUTR) was passed in 2010 to prevent the entry of illegal timber into the European Union. Despite this, companies still lack knowledge about how to comply with the regulation and the harm that non-compliance poses to their supply chains.

Free virtual training

MITERD , in collaboration with the non-profit environmental organization Preferred by Nature , organizes these free online workshops within the framework of the LIFE Legal Wood project, which was created to raise awareness, train and comply with the EUTR regulation and the elimination of the illegal timber market.

The workshops will take place in the morning on February 17 and 19. Their methodology will focus on providing practical training to companies so their professionals can learn due diligence procedures and supply chain analysis, including an introduction to the virtual tools available for compliance with the EUTR regulation.

If you wish to attend, please register for the workshops here .

Likewise, if you have doubts about whether your company complies with the EUTR regulation, you can fill out thisquestionnaire .
