In the current 2014-2020 programming period, Local Action Groups (LAGs), in accordance with Regulation 1305/2013, are required to conduct an evaluation of the Local Development Strategies implemented. In March 2018, a training workshop on LEADER evaluation was held for LAGs and AAGGs, after which many participating LAGs expressed the need to promote a new workshop specifically addressing the evaluation to be carried out by LAGs through useful case studies and practical examples. Thus, another training workshop was held on April 2.

The training workshop is specifically aimed at Local Action Groups, to support them in the evaluation of their Participatory Local Development Strategies. The objectives of the training workshop are as follows:

• Improve the knowledge of the evaluation and monitoring of Local Development Strategies of the technical teams of the Local Action Groups.
• Provide Local Action Groups with practical cases and examples of useful methodologies and tools for evaluating Local Development Strategies.
