Organized by Villahoz City Council and Territorio Emprendimiento in collaboration with the European Commission, the Government of Spain, the Regional Government of Castile and León, and the Burgos Provincial Council.
The Startup Village is convened with this reflection: “We must build towns where startups (innovative companies) can be created and entrepreneurship can take place on equal terms with cities. New technologies allow us to undertake entrepreneurship anywhere, no matter how remote. To achieve this, we need to create innovation ecosystems in all towns. These local ecosystems must be connected at the regional and provincial levels so that they have sufficient critical mass to attract investors and facilitate customer searches and international expansion. A high level of connection between the local ecosystems of startup villages is the key to creating STARTUP VILLAGES across Europe.”
During the day, the following will be discussed:
- Concrete mechanisms to implement the "Startup Village" concept in the medium and short term.
- What is the best way to use existing public funds?
