On February 25, 2019, the second meeting of the National Depopulation Forum was held. This platform represents all representatives of the sectors affected by rural depopulation. The forum aims to discuss the most effective measures to address this problem and integrate them into the National Strategy to Address the Demographic Challenge.

The specific objectives pursued through the National Depopulation Forum are summarized in the following three points:

• Report on the National Strategy to Address the Demographic Challenge being developed by the Government Commissioner
• Enrich this Strategy through a participatory process where the most effective measures and actions can be debated.
• Identify ideas for potential pilot projects and priority areas for action to curb the problem of depopulation and serve as an example and model for other municipalities or regions with similar conditions.
