Descripción
The General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation, and Forestry Policy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food promotes the continuing education program for technicians from national and international rural development institutions as a means to achieve its objectives, considering training to be the main instrument of change.
As part of the 2018 training program, which includes training activities, the Subdirectorate General for Rural Development is coordinating this course, which has the following objectives:
- To understand the qualities entrepreneurs need to develop and to improve their understanding of the specific characteristics of the environment in which they will operate.
- Improve the training of small rural entrepreneurs to make their businesses more competitive and modern.
- To share the success stories of rural entrepreneurs, which serve as examples and inspiration to others who also have this interest.
The course, which is in person, is aimed at:
- People who live or work in rural areas, preferably young people (under 40 years old) and women.
The following aspects will be addressed in this paper:
- The entrepreneur and his environment.
- Strategies to leverage synergies with other projects in the region.
- Business models.
- Communication strategies.
- Use of Social Networks (RR.SS.).
- Examples of Good Practices (BB.PP.) of rural entrepreneurship in different sectors.
