On October 3, 2018, the third meeting of the Working Group on "Forest pastures and silvopastoral systems within the CAP" was held, with the participation of various stakeholders linked to the management of forest pastures and agrosilvopastoral systems.

At the proposal of the Subdirectorate General for Forest Policy, a working session was held with the participation of producers, landowners, farm owners, administrations, researchers, rural entrepreneurs, and environmental organizations, all involved in the management of forest pastures and agrosilvopastoral systems. The following objectives were proposed:

• To analyze in detail the problems in the current CAP and the possibilities for the future CAP in relation to forest pastures and silvopastoral systems.
• Explore the possibilities of national regulation associated with extensive livestock farming as a way to address some of the existing limitations and promote an economic activity of great social and environmental value.

Throughout the day, the objectives set for the event were addressed, and the joint conclusions of the work carried out in the various meetings held so far by the Working Group were compiled. The results of this work are summarized in the following Information Note.
