URBAN-RURAL RELATIONS CONFERENCE

21 de Septiembre de 2017 00:00 - 00:00
Descripción

The purpose of this event is to disseminate among those involved in rural development some of the experiences and projects that individuals and organizations are developing in rural areas.

This is not intended to provide a comprehensive overview of rural areas, diagnose the situation, or propose solutions to the problems raised, although some speakers do.

The goal is to highlight initiatives that are already underway—some have been around for some time, others are new—that have in common the use of rural spaces and the establishment of connections between urban and rural populations. The Conference should be an opportunity to reflect on the attitudes of urban and rural people and the rapprochement of the two "worlds."

The initiatives were chosen primarily for their diverse approaches and the interest shown by participants in sharing their experiences. However, it should be noted that these are just a small sample of the activities currently underway, which could be continued at other events if deemed relevant.

Of the eight exhibitions included in this event, three will focus on the revitalization or recovery of villages, but with three distinct approaches: two will focus on the use of rural environments for educational activities; two others are projects with predominantly economic purposes, but which integrate environmental, cultural, and technological elements; and another project is predominantly technological, although it also has a social aspect.
