An agrarian test space is generally defined as a program to facilitate the gradual integration of new farmers into the agricultural sector, coordinated through structured governance agreed upon by all stakeholders. These spaces are coordinated through shared governance, where a sponsoring entity leads the process of structuring the physical, legal, and comprehensive support required for each agrarian test space. To this end, different types of territorial entities provide this structure, such as cooperatives, local action groups, and local councils. Each of these entities has the potential to design and implement agrarian test spaces, drawing on a variety of backgrounds and capabilities.

This event places special emphasis on how each of these entities can contribute to the development of agricultural testing areas.

Objectives of the day

• To promote Agricultural Test Spaces as a highly useful tool for incorporating new farmers into the sector and fostering generational renewal.
• Present the Network of Agricultural Test Spaces.
• Reflect on the potential of various rural stakeholders in the development of new Agricultural Test Spaces, especially cooperatives, local action groups, and local councils.
• Experience first-hand how an Agricultural Test Site works.

Target audience

The event is aimed at agricultural cooperatives, local action groups, rural development associations, local governments and city councils, and other individuals and organizations interested in the topic.

The event will be in person and will be held at Palau-castell de Betxí , Betxi (Castellón) .

The day includes a visit to the Horta del Rajolar Agrarian Test Space - Fundació Novessendes , between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The journey can be done on foot and is estimated to take approximately 5 minutes.

Attendance is free , with a maximum capacity of 100 people.
