From the Subdirectorate General of Innovation and Digitalization, we would like to invite you to a new webinar organized by the Digitalization Observatory of the Spanish Agri-Food Sector .

The Spanish Agri-Food Sector Digitalization Observatory is a project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPA) in collaboration with Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar, developed so far with EU Next Generation funding.

The webinar will focus on the AgriFoodTech sector. Technologies, products, and services for the digital transformation of the Spanish agrifood sector. and will be held virtually on May 16 , from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. This report, based on a survey involving 101 companies in the AgriFoodTech sector, will be available for analysis. It delves into the knowledge of the AgriFoodTech sector, both from a socioeconomic perspective and in terms of its specialization. It also offers a perspective on the development of technologies and market evolution in the coming years, as well as measures that could promote its expansion. • How does digitalization impact pest and disease control in greenhouse crops? June 19. The objective of this webinar is to address an example of digitalization in the agri-food sector, specifically its impact on pest and disease control in greenhouse crops, with the participation of researchers and companies working in this area.
• DigiMAPA: The digital tool that connects the agri-food sector with agrotech companies. July 10.

In addition, on June 5th there will be a mixed event (in person but also streamed) at the La Vega Innova digital innovation iHUB of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (San Fernando de Henares - Madrid) https://lavegainnova.es/ , where the Study Analysis of the Current State of Digitalization of the Spanish Agri-Food Sector will be presented, a demographic study based on more than 3,500 responses to a survey on topics such as the most relevant technologies for people in the agri-food sector.
