The program offers the opportunity to access a training program accompanied by expert technical advice to delve deeper into the design, development, and execution of projects related to sustainable food.

  • The "Terralimenta" call is an initiative of the "Daniel and Nina Carasso" Foundation that seeks to structure rural activity around more sustainable agri-food production.

  • This is the second edition of the program, aimed at eight LEADER groups, which will receive training and expert advice for the development of agri-food projects in their respective territories.

The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation and the consultancy firm Red2Red have joined forces once again to launch the second edition of the “Terralimenta” call for proposals, which proposes a new model of agri-food production through the transition towards “Territorialized Agri-Food Systems (SAT)” , that is, territories closely linked to their agri-food production and with the following functionalities:

  • Agricultural diversity

  • Sustainable production that respects its rural environment and its environment

  • Production that guarantees universal access to food

  • With strong links between rural inhabitants and their productive systems

This second edition aims to continue the work started two years ago, following the launch of the first edition of “Terralimenta” in 2021. Both on that occasion and now, the recipients and custodians for the development of this work are the Local Action Groups (LAG) or LEADER Groups , as they are the driving forces of their respective territories.

Stake

This year, eight LAGs will be selected to receive support and identify key stakeholders in their territories, as well as develop a common roadmap for action so they can strategically position themselves within the framework of sustainable food.

The program will be open from January 18th to February 8th , 2024. During this period, specifically on February 1st , a virtual seminar will be held to address questions and queries. Registration can be found here .
